Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.
Pastor Wilfred Lai is the founder and general overseer of Jesus Celebration Center (JCC) across the world. Currently the senior Pastor of JCC Mombasa, he has pastored and raised JCC Mombasa from a humble membership of 60 people to the current position of more than ten thousand members. He has established churches in different parts of Kenya, United States of America and the United Kingdom. He is the pioneer of television ministry in Kenya and now runs a satellite T.V. station, beaming the Gospel to the whole of Africa. Pastor Lai is a world respected conference speaker with an international ministry. He is passionate about equipping pastors and leaders for the work of ministry and has held an international and interdenominational pastors and leaders conference called Word Explosion for over 25 years, ministering to more than 50,000 people. He also holds prophetic conferences that began in Kenya and now across Africa where he minister to pastors and leaders. He has established a school of ministry in Mombasa to train men and women of God. In addition to that, he also established schools from Pre-K to High School.
Pastor Lai has been married to his wife Rita Lai for 38 years. Together they have two sons; David and Daniel, two daughters in love Mercy and Essie Lai and four grand children.
Pastor Laurah Githinji
Pastor Laurah Githinji is the lead pastor of Jesus Celebration Center Twin Cities. Pastor Laurah is a woman who loves God and is zealous about empowering the church and the community to live to the fullest of their potential through the truth of the gospel. She graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with Bachelor degree in Biology and later graduated from Bethel Theological Seminary, whereby she holds a Master’s Degree in Divinity. She is driven by her call to serve people through Inspirational speaking, teaching the Word of God and equipping believers for the work of ministry. Pastor Laurah has a vision to reach the unreached in the Twin Cities and its neighboring cities with the gospel of Jesus Christ, thus empowering them to allow the light of Christ shine through each of their life experiences. Previously, she was involved as a church co-planter and served as an associate pastor. She is the founder of Wailing Wall Prayer ministry and the Director of Queens Ministry in Minnesota.
Pastor Laurah has been married to her husband Sam for over 16 years, and together are blessed with three children Lyvia, Phoebe and Nathaniel. Besides serving her church and community, Pastor Laurah enjoys cooking, home making, gardening, music and spending time with her family and friends
